AppViewXS: Customizing Examples

These examples show what is possible with the AppViewXS Legacy Renewal tools from Crystal Point. Each of these demonstrations creates a live TN3270 session to the Clemson University Library search utility (clemson.clemson.edu).

The default interfaces show what would display on an Internet browser by simply installing AppViewXS.

The customized interfaces include new controls and graphics. This required just a few minutes of work in the Studio module for each screen.

AppViewXS (Server-Based) As a server-based application, only HTML pages are sent to the client workstation. Downloading Java applets is not required. A connection to the web server hosting AppViewXS (via HTTP, port 80) is necessary.

  • Clemson Library (Customized: Navigation through the logon and selection pages is automated.)
  • Clemson Library (Default GUI: The search application does not require authentication.  Just click on enter for the first three screens.)
