Just Released!

The focus of this maintenance release is our IBM 3270 emulation. We extended the implementation of the IBM 3270E protocol, addressed various customer Requests for Enhancement and repaired small bugs

Enhancements

• Added TN3270E PRT1 IBM 3287 printer support.
• Added IBM MVS FTP client support.
• Provided ability to map Right Control Key as a function key.
• Updated online Help to improve install speed.

OSS and Guardian

• OutsideView TN 6530 emulation now contains an automatic UNIX sub-mode to provide transparent access across both Guardian and OSS environments.
• The updated FTP module takes advantage of OSS availability to automatically garner host directory structure in real time from the host.
• The FTP module is multithreaded, presents fewer modal dialogs, and fully supports command queuing from the GUI, which automatically switches between OSS and Guardian remote file view depending upon current remote directory.

Fixes/Optimizations:

• Modified Enterprise Installer license pool generation to match the equivalent operation in LicenseView.
• Fixed several minor issues in TN3270E function negotiation response processing, and management of escape control sequences.
• Added appropriate processing for invalid TN3270E terminal commands.
• Fixed crash after pasting of fingerprint into Session->IO-> "Validate Root CA Fingerprint" field.
• Fixed SSL CA certificate validation in SSL negotiation cadence so that the entire chain is validated.
• Improved startup behavior for simultaneous multiple, multiple-session workspaces on multiple systems.
• Treat the Euro (Unicode 0x20AC) as a single-width glyph.
• Fix German character mappings under TN3270 emulations.
