PURPOSE: This position must be able to independently flush out design details, produce design documents, write and maintain code, complete programming, debugging and unit testing of the components with moderate complexity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

-Participate in analyzing, designing, programming and modifying new/current software components

-Maintain the existing code and apply bug fixes

-Debug and produce unit testing

-Implement test plans

-Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision

-Assist in schedules and work estimates

-Complete forms, procedures and documentation

-Participate in all aspects of the development process

QUALIFICATIONS:

-BS in technical or engineering field with at least 2-3 years of experience

-Experience in Windows application software design and deploying TCP/IP and Internet communication software

-Visual C/C++ and object-oriented programming/development skills are vital; knowledge of Java is a plus

-Acquired skills for systems such as COM, DCOM, ATL, Java Client/Server would be considered a strong asset

-Proficiency in working with terminal emulation software, preferably Tandem, data streams and network protocols

-Ability to multi task and prioritize

-Communication Skills:

Excellent oral and written skills: Expression is clear, concise, and conveys the desired message. Writing style is tailored to the varying forms of communication, the purpose (instruct, persuade, inform) and the audience.
